Having handled a wide range of aircraft including DO-228, F-27, HS-748 Boeing 757, A300, Boeing 707,747, and Avro RJ 70 along with a small helicopter and agriculture aircraft during the duration of his career, Mr Vardhan held a number of directorships:

Director of the Board of Indian and National Airport Authority. Both the companies are scheduled ‘A’ organizations as per the classification Bureau of Public Enterprise.
Director, Vayudoot LTD.
Director of Gujarat Baroda Hotel Limited, a nominee of the Government of Gujarat, joint venture products of ITC Welcome Group and Govt of Gujarat from 1986-88.
Director of Himachal Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Limited.
Chairman and Director, Swarnima Oil Industries Limited.

Holds the distinction of being the Youngest Chief Executive of a Public Sector Enterprise in India. Featured in Limca Book of Records for the same.
Was interviewed by the BBC, TV London in 1982 as a Management Specialist from India, in their new Life Programme. This Programme was highly rated featuring Prime Ministers, Eminent Ministers of various countries and well-known professionals and achievers in their respective fields.
